- Yesterday was a lovely warm day so I was able to make the first inspection of my bees of the year. All five hives have survived the winter however two of them appear queenless and therefore doomed. I united one of the queenless colonies which contained drone brood with a healthy queen right colony . I will check the other one in a weeks time.
Just 4 weeks to go before the first show of the year; the RHS Cardiff flower show. The plants for the display are coming on well.
