Hostas for our first show of the season are looking promising
I always get excited when I see the first Hosta shoots appearing in the spring. The have a wonderful array of colour including red yellow green and of course blue. Even before they appear its time to tidy up pots and borders to reduce hiding places for slugs and snails. Scatter a few slug pellets around the area, not more than 1 pellet every 10 inches. If pets or wildlife are a concern then put the pellets in a container set at ground level or under a tile so that then can not easily be accessed
